Our Favorite Recipes: Garlic Parmesan Chicken Sandwiches

Mickie made these easy garlic parmesan chicken sandwiches for her family this week and they were a huge hit!

INGREDIENTS:

INSTRUCTIONS

• Start by cutting two chicken breasts in half lengthwise to make them thinner. Now you will have four pieces of chicken!
• Cook the bacon however you prefer.
• Season the chicken on both sides with some salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
• Next, add about 1 TBSP of olive oil to a skillet over medium high heat.
• Once the skillet is nice and hot add the chicken to the skillet. Sear the chicken on both sides quickly.
• Once the chicken is seared, remove the skillet from the heat. At this point the chicken won’t be fully cooked.
• Add some of the garlic parmesan sauce on top of each chicken breast and smooth out evenly.
• If your skillet is oven safe place it in the oven and bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes. If you don’t have an oven safe skillet you can transfer the chicken to a baking dish.
• While the chicken is baking, melt 2 TBSP of butter in a skillet and toast four buns. Once the buns are golden brown remove them from the skillet and set aside.
• Once the chicken has reached an internal temp of at least 165 degrees remove it from the oven and sprinkle freshly shredded parmesan cheese over each piece of chicken.
• Building the sandwiches! You can keep these simple with just chicken, bacon, and the parmesan cheese, but you could add any of your favorite toppings.
