Things to do in Southeast PA, May 2024

Written by Mercedes Roth | May 2, 2024 2:46:44 PM

Hello everyone! My name is Mercedes and I am an Agency Assistant at Blue Marsh. Each month, I share all of the fun things that Southeast PA has to offer!

April showers bring May flowers, so here is how I'm enjoying the beautiful month ahead.

Here's what's on my event calendar for May, 2024
Saturday, May 4th is packed with fun events!

1. Fat Bat Brewing Co in Hanover is having a .5k. I've never been to Fat Bat before, but this sounds fun! Last month they had a  sold-out Taylor Swift Brunch that I wanted to go to, so I love to hear that they are Swifties!

2. The Helping Other People (HOP) Party at Levante Brewing Company is also happening on May 4th! This amazing brewery is located in West Chester right next to West Chester University. They have great beer, ciders, and granitas! I've been to the HOP parties in the past and they are always so much fun. They usually have a wheel to spin to win merch, new beer, and food trucks! Plus, they will be celebrating their 9th anniversary at this HOP party so it should be extra fun.

3. I know I'm going to Mountain View Winery in the Poconos on May 4th with my family and some friends. We love this place because it's a brewery, winery and distillery in one! The best thing about this winery is the view. We always sit outside and it is just so beautiful looking out of their back patio. If you are interested in going to Mountain View (which you should!) you can schedule a reservation here.

Other fun ideas you can do anytime this month:
  • Bowling at The New Jordan Lanes in White Hall.
  • Brunch at B2 Bistro (would be especially great for Mother's Day because they give all of the mothers flowers!). Hot tip: if you book a reservation, even 10 minutes before you get there, you'll get in faster. Make a reservation here.
  • Deitsch Eck is a cute little German restaurant in Port Clinton that we've been to a couple of times. This month I'm headed there with my grandparents and great grandparents! This restaurant is very small so maky sure you call ahead of time and make a reservation for your group.

I'm wrapping up the end of the month with a trip to my Grammy's house in Ocean City, NJ. We'll be spending time at the beach, hitting up some wineries (Renault Hawk Haven or Willow Creek), mini golfing and maybe even trying out some escape rooms on the boardwalk. My Grammy's house is pretty much my second home and I've been going there ever since I was little. Can't forget to stop at La Barca for my favorite oysters!

What's on your calendar this month?

I'd love to hear!

Stay tuned for the next blog post from me letting you know what I’ll be doing in the month of June! See you then!
