We are thrilled to share the exciting news that BERKS ENCORE has been chosen as our Charity of the Month for October, 2023! As a gesture of our support, for every referral we receive this month, we will donate $10 directly to this incredible organization. We take great pride in supporting Berks Encore, the leading provider of senior services and Meals on Wheels in Berks County.
Berks Encore has been celebrating "life after 50" by providing wonderful programs and services to Berk's aging community (as well as their family members and caregivers).
Here are just some of the programs that Berks Encore offers our community:
Meals on Wheels: Providing nutritous meals and a friendly check-in to those 60 years old and older.
Grocery Shopping Program: Those over 50 who have difficulty getting to the grocery store and doing their own shoping can use Berks Encore to find a volunteer to do their grocery shopping for them.
Friendly Visitor Program: Berks Encore connects homebound seniors with adult volunteers who agree to call or visit one hour per week.
They also offer health and wellness programs and counseling services.
Plus, they also operate 6 senior community wellness and activity centers where they offer exercise, education, social interaction, and a daily meal.
We are so proud to be able to support Berks Encore this month! For every referral that we receive in October, TEN DOLLARS will be donated directly back to them.
